This is the real path to our spiritual awakening and a happier experience. It is to see others as they truly are, and know myself through this vision.
There really is nothing else to learn, ultimately. Anything we do and learn will lead us to this truth. As I see, treat and think of others, I will know myself.
Whenever I meet anyone, it is a holy encounter. I can decide to honor their true essence as a Child of God, holy, whole, innocent, in spite of whatever they think they are. As I hold them in this light, I know myself in this light. And they will sense it.

Living life from this perspective is a much more joyful and fulfilling experience. Separation dissipates and relationships heal because we are healing within. We are returning to truth.
This has nothing to do with religion or philosophy. It's about a state of being. We do not heal alone. We need each other.

Prayers and Affirmations Help Us Remain Focused and Grounded

The ones I included in the attached graphic are some of the affirmations, verses and prayers from the Bible and A Course in Miracles that have taken me through the toughest times in my life. I still use many of these if not all. They are very powerful when read out loud and feeling the words!
I repeat some when I wake up; when a fear thought comes into my mind and I feel that sense of anxiety in the pit of my stomach I'll repeat one that works to calm my mind.
If I have a judgment towards someone I will ask God to help me see this differently.
You don't need many, a few will do the job. You can choose from whatever positive, spiritual material you read, or you can create your own. Keep it close to your heart. Memorize it and make it yours.

Can I Turn Attack Into a Blessing?

This topic was covered on our daily Course Companion call this morning. It's from Chapter 7, Section VI of the text of A Course in Miracles.
These are some of the concepts from the section that stood out most to me (I'm paraphrasing them to personalize the teaching):
--When anyone acts insanely, it is an opportunity for me to bless them.
--Others attack out of fear and because they believe they lack something in them.
--God created everyone worthy of honor. Appreciate them.
If I am tempted to attack in return, conflict and separation arise. But, can I turn attack into a blessing instead?
Can I see their wholeness and abundance instead of lack and weakness? Can I keep in my awareness that they have forgotten who they really are and respond with patience?
My part is to see everyone as God created them. As I do this, I see myself in this light too. This, I believe, is how we dispel animosity, separation, fear and can heal our relationships with compassion and true appreciation.
I admit I have not mastered this yet and I am judgmental towards others. As I become more aware of my judgments and defensiveness, I am do respond patiently.....with the help of the Spirit within me.

You Are Responsible For What You Think

"You believe that you are responsible for what you do but not for what you think. The truth is that you are responsible for what you think..."
"What you do comes from what you think."
"...you teach what you do believe."
Quotes from A Course in Miracles Text

My work is at the level of the mind...choosing thoughts that align with Truth so then I can step into my real identity and see others in the same light. It's a shift in how I perceive.

This is how healing really happens. First at the mind level.

What Do I Truly Treasure?

This question came up a few days ago while reading A Course in Miracles. What is it that I truly treasure and how much do I treasure it?

Hmmm. I thought about it before responding. I wanted to be honest and real with myself.
TRUTH was the response that came up for me. The truth about myself, about God and about life. I want to know and live truth.

So far, Truth and God and Love are changeless, cannot be threatened and to know it is to be free. My goal is to be aware of the beliefs I hold that aren't true so I can release them and move closer to my true being.

Sometimes I find myself holding on to the desire to be right and prove my beliefs to be true. Eventually I realize that this only keeps me stuck in the ego thought system of fear and separation.
I really want to know the truth and be free.
