Feelings of unworthiness, guilt, being defensive and judgmental, the desire to be “special”, holding and holding another accountable to fulfill MY needs are some of the barriers within myself to what love really is. These are based on fear and a belief that I am not enough.
I have used “special” love relationships to alleviate the pain caused by the belief in separation. What I called love was always an effort to find validation outside myself of my worth. My relationships then became a means of getting….not of giving and receiving.
Years ago, after leaving a very painful relationship that was based on abuse and victimhood, I committed to learn what love was. Since then, I have worked on acknowledging and letting go of the blocks to the love that I am.
As I deepen my relationship with my Creator, I understand that nothing can change who I really am. I realize I am love, whole and complete. From this state of mind, I relate to others in loving and joyful ways, giving and receiving love instead of relating to get.
This is a Bible text directed to all believers to actively practice prayer and intercession for those in positions of leadership and authority. Today it is much needed….so that we may live quiet and peaceful lives.
I believe in the power of prayer, and more so in the power of collective prayer. Let us begin to practice praying for our leaders, for wise leadership, so we may have leaders that work for what is in the best interest of all of us….not just the few.
This needs to be our part, joining in prayer and blessing, instead of attack, division and fear. Let us trust that good prevails and that it begins with our joining as one! We have the power to bring about a true shift, we can make this happen. But it has to start with each of us. We must be willing to set outside our differences and join in what matters.
Moving forward I choose to do my part to be part of the solution instead of the problem.
Now more than ever I feel the strong need to go within to find guidance and answers to life’s questions. Who and what can I trust to be real and the truth in the world?
Maybe it’s time we understand that truth is within, where God is, and do the work of investigating who we really are, and what we are doing here.
I know this world is not my home. I do not belong here, but I am here and I have a purpose. I find clarity and guidance through prayer and listening within, and through studying and practicing the principles in A Course in Miracles (the spiritual path I have chosen), to help me unwind my mind from the ego thought system, which is based on fear and attack.
And there is so much fear, confusion, division, and struggle in the world. But what a difference it is when I am willing to try out a different way of living this life.
Do you know that you have an Inner Guidance that is always with you waiting for you to say YES and invite It to teach you and heal you? Heal your life?
To me, the only way to unplug is to become aware and awaken from this dream. And that takes a lot of vigilance, self-awareness, consistent practice, radical honesty and a stepping out of body-identity and stepping into our spiritual and eternal identity. This is what I call spiritual awakening or awareness.
Knowing I am not alone and have the support of Spirit with me is comforting and assures me of success. This is our purpose. To awaken and help others do the same.
Be aware that fear is the control system we have lived under for ages; and freedom is what we long for….a return to our Home, a state of being we can begin to experience right here as we deliberately practice love, awareness and oneness. Stop falling into the trap of separateness, division, sides. It just keeps us where we are and there is no peace in this. Remember:
“You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. “
I chose these 3 qualities to focus on years ago when I was training to be a ministerial counselor. I wrote and placed the words where I would see them frequently and keep them in my awareness.
Yes, I must say I have developed all three. I am much more CONSISTENT keeping my healthy habits; I follow through (less procrastinating), I complete assignments and overall am much more committed to myself.
I have developed my TRUSTING nature....I listen to and trust the guidance I receive from my Inner Wisdom, whereas I used to look for validation from others. God has become my "go-to".
As for DEFENSELESSNESS, that's been the most challenging. It's still an on-going learning process for me to pause before speaking, to listen with an open heart and to choose peace over wanting to be right.
The journey Home is guaranteed. I am never alone. Spirit is always with me, for me, in me and guiding me. I am committed to releasing what doesn't serve me anymore and continue to shine the light that I am. It's time to heal the world.
Whether we believe it or not, we are all connected at some level.
What we see in others is usually what we believe about ourselves.
There's a saying in Spanish that I'll translate as best I can: "The thief judges by its own condition."
And we all do this, until we begin to realize the truth of our oneness and choose to see another beyond their personality to their divinity. This practice then helps us see ourselves in this same light. This is healing.
I believe that truth is universal, that it needs no defending....it just is. And we know it when we find truth. It resonates with our deepest being.
Yet, sometimes we are not ready or willing to let go of beliefs we have that block us from what is real. Until we do.
God is patient with us. God never forces nor manipulates. God is waiting for us to let go of our small self-image and step into our true being. Just as He created us.
